Hi! I’m Emma and I am a junior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee majoring in Human and Organizational Development. I have been a music-lover since my younger years when I started taking piano lessons and eventually taught myself guitar and ukulele. Growing up in Los Angeles, I’ve been lucky enough to attend hundreds of concerts that have shaped my love for live music. I’ve explored my love for music in college through my positions as Music Director, DJ, and staff writer for WRVU, Vanderbilt’s independent radio station. I also spent multiple years volunteering as a piano teacher at the W.O. Smith School of Music in Nashville. In addition to music, I love communicating with people in unique ways! From my time as Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing of Alpha Chi Omega, Zeta Omicron chapter at Vanderbilt to my current position as a member and our Graphics Director for Vanderbilt’s premier improv comedy troupe, Tongue ‘N’ Cheek, I love finding new and interesting paths through which to express myself and my passions as well as to connect with others. This website is a chance for me to share the things about which I am passionate, specifically at the intersection between music and communication, as well as about my experience as I navigate the early stages of a hopeful career in the music industry!
